Angelou - Automiracles

'Automiracles', the debut album by Angelou was recorded in November 1998 in only ten days with producer Calum MacColl (of the MacColl folk dynasty). It showcases ten startlingly original, rich, warm reaffirming songs, with stories that twist and melodies that turn, which will infiltrate your heart and lodge there, refusing to leave. The album also features guest vocal contributions from Eddi Reader and Boo Hewerdine.

'The best debut of its kind since Eddi Reader's 'Mirmama'.... indeed even The Sundays' first effort' - The Independent

'Haunting melody and a simple acoustic beauty' - Time Out

'Angelou succeed with a capital S' - Rock'n'Reel

'Their gorgeous guitar-based songs give us the chills' - Diva

'If you ever saw the beauty in Fotheringay or Eddi Reader's 'Mirmama', I urge you to hear 'Automiracles' - Mojo
